- Description
- Project calls for various repairs and/or complete reconstruction to airfield (runway, taxiways, parking ramp) pavements at Dyess AFB, Texas, 79607. The project is a requirements type Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed price contract. The magnitude of the contract is between $10M and $25M. The contract will not be a set-aside. The anticipated solicitation posting date of on/about 17 April 2006. A tentative site visit is schedule for Wednesday May 3rd, 2006. The action code is P. There is a grand total of 180 Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). Work will be released to successful contractor in work packages via individual task orders. The government reserves the right to utilize in-house forces to accomplish work on airfield pavements; however, the government guarantees that all task orders for airfield pavement work will be awarded to the contractor. Exception: for those instances where government in-house forces are used. Unit prices will be taken for the Base Year (year one) and Two Option Years (year two & year three). The contract with all option years will run starting on/about September 2006 thru September 2009. Work may include but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Portland cement concrete and hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement section replacement, 2) installation of asphalt overlays, 3) installation of pavement markings, 4) rubber removal, 5) spall repairs, and 6) milling/grinding of pavement surfaces. This is classified under the North American Industry Classification System # 237310. It is anticipated that the solicitation (FA4661-06-R-0002) will be issued electronically on or about 17 April 2006 on the government’s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.FBO.gov. You must register on this site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. Requests for solicitations by telephone will not be honored. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dunn & Bradstreet. Highly recommend registering at www.BPN.gov immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
