Description
THIS AMENDMENT INCORPORATES CHANGES TO THE STATEMENT OF WORK/ SPECIFICATIONS AND EXTENDS THE DUE DATE UNTIL APRIL 27, 2006. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REAMAIN UNCHANGED. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE INCORPORATED: DESCRIPTION OF CHANGES IN ?SOW_scattered_beam_PG_filter_v2c_AMD-1 CB.doc? Overall description of changes: The requirement on mosaic has been tightened from 15 degrees as measured with 11.6 meV neutrons to 7 degrees for 14.7 meV neutrons The minimum transmission requirement has been changed from 80 percent at 11.6 meV to 65 percent at 14.7 meV. Because of the specific nature of neutron transmission through graphite both of these changes imply stricter requirements on the materials quality. Specific edits: Page 1 line 3 From ?The full width at half maximum mosaic distribution width is to be less than 15 degrees (as measured with 11.6 meV neutrons).? To ?The order comprises a total of twenty filter blocks. The full width at half maximum mosaic distribution width averaged over each filter block shall not exceed 7 degrees (as measured with 14.7 meV neutrons).? Page 2 line 12 From ?The average Full Width at Half Maximum Mosaic width for each block as measured with 11.6 meV neutrons shall not exceed 15 degrees.? To ?The average Full Width at Half Maximum Mosaic width for each of the twenty filter blocks as measured with 14.7 meV neutrons shall not exceed 7 degrees.? Page 2 line 18 From ?The room temperature transmission of 11.6 meV neutrons through 50 mm of the material along the c-axis shall exceed 80 percent.? To ?The room temperature transmission of 14.7 meV neutrons through 50 mm of the material along the c-axis shall exceed 65 percent.? Page 3 line 4 from bottom From ?11.6 meV neutrons? To ?14.7 meV neutrons.? Page 4 line 10 From ?11.6 meV neutrons? To ?14.7 meV neutrons.? Page 4 line 15 From ?11.6 meV neutrons? To ?14.7 meV neutrons.?
