Description

Sources Sought Notice The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of producing Dyneema HB25, 144 plies or equal in accordance with the Buy American Act. This equates to NIJIII protection level (7.62 X 51 Ball and AK47 Mild Steel Core). Panels must be produced via high pressure processing(2400 PSI Minimum). The approximate dimensions needed are 60 inches wide x 97 inches long x three fourths inch thick. Delivery of the panels would be to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island,IL. The a pproximate quantity of sheets would be 1010. Firms capable of supplying t his product should indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief summary of their company by contacting Ilana Bohren at bohreni@ria.army.mil. Your request should incl ude cage code, company name, address, phone number, email address and a point of contact and estimated price and availability. Please respond NO LATER THAN April 25, 2006. This is a Sources Sought for planning purposes and shall not be construed as a Re quest for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized by TACOM Rock Island in developing its acquisition approach for future requirements.
