Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement for a Vibration Isolation Workstation. In accordance with FAR 19.5, this acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside under NACIS code 334519 ? Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturer. The vibration isolation workstation shall meet the following minimum salient features/descriptions: 1) dimensions of approximately 36 inch wide, 30 inch deep, and about 30 inch high (to work surface); 2) load capacity: 400 lb. minimum; 3) maintain preset zero deflection level regardless of load 4) must be suitable for optical microscopy; This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included herein. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1 and 212-2 apply. FAR 52.212-4 and 212-5 will be included in any award resulting from this notice. Full text for these FAR provisions and clauses may be accessed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: Technical, Price, Delivery, and Past Performance. For the Technical factor, please provide: 1) Commercial brochures, test results, and/or other information sufficient to show how the product will meet our technical requirements. Include at a minimum specifications on the following: a) horizontal and vertical vibration isolation (% at frequency), b) material of construction, c) method of vibration isolation, and d) leveling accuracy 2) Describe standard or additional warranty terms offered 3) Describe level of customer service provided 4) Describe options and accessories available such as casters, and shelving to accomodate a computer and peripherals. Include pricing for such options and accessories, as it is anticipated that the workstation will be used with a PC, Keyboard, and Monitor. For the Price factor, please provide a price per unit. Include separate pricing for options and accessories as described above. Cite any GSA Schedules and discounts which may be applicable. Pricing should reflect FOB destination to NAWCAD, Patuxent River MD 20670. For the Delivery factor, please specify time of delivery after receipt of order. For the Past Performance factor, please provide two customer references for recent and similar products/efforts, including: a) company or agency name, b) point of contact with phone and e-mail, and c) type of system installed. Proposals shall be prepared in two spearate volumes as follows: Volume 1 - Technical information, specifications, brochures, warranty, customer service, and delivery information as described above. Volume 2 - Price and Past Performance information as described above Two Copies of each volume are required. All proposals shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items.
