Description
THIS COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION IS HEREBY CANCELLED AT THIS TIME. 4-19-2006. CODE 2390#15: VIDEO PRESENTATION SYSTEM FOR CODE 100 SCOPE OF WORK Design, fabricate and install a Video Presentation System for Code 100 at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. This system shall allow viewing on four projection screens or four Smart Boards multiple input signals, one at a time. These signals shall include VCR, DVD, PC and student laptop inputs. Remove Audio Visual System from Building 33 Conference Room and reinstall in M-32 Conference Room. Custom Instructor Podium One Instructor Podium will be supplied. Installed in the podium will be a DVD player/recorder, VCR player, Document camera, and customer-supplied computer. A Smart Sympodium will be installed to replace the computer monitor. On the Smart Sympodium you will be able to “write” and “draw” on the computer images and this will be shown on the smart boards or projection screens. Included in the podium will be the rack rails, and required power for installed items. Podium finish will match the new furniture. Smart SynchronEyes software will be installed on the instructor PC; this will allow the instructor to view and project on the projection screen the student laptop image. This can be accomplished due to the fact that we will install a mini network system in the classroom. All computer network inputs in the eight floor boxes will go back to a network hub. Podium will be mobile with the ability to operate located at either the short end of the classroom or on the long wall. NOTE: Smart software only works on computer inputs NOT on video such as VCR, DVD and Document camera. NOTE: The network will not be connected to the shipyard lan. The VIDEO PRESENTATION SYSTEM shall allow multiple input sources (computer, Laptop, VCR/DVD) signal to be shown on a 50” x 67” A/V Format screen one source at a time. Four Sharp PG-MB60X Video Projector shall provide the video image. The MB60X operates at a brightness level of 2,500 ANSI Lumens and native resolution of 1,024 X 768. It features a three-year warranty. Lamp life is estimated at 2,000 hours, lamp warranty is 90 days. Four Dalite 84” Diagonal screens will be installed below the drop ceiling. Four laptop input plates shall be installed one below each Smart Board for guest laptop computers to hook-up to the system and be displayed at that location ONLY. These laptops will not be connected to the smart board. Eight FSR floor boxes will be provided to be installed by the owner. Eight custom plates will be installed in the floor boxes, included on these plates will be the network jacks for the classroom laptops to plug into the tie to the system. The projectors and screens shall be permanently installed. Hardware by Chief Industries and Dalite shall be provided for maximum aesthetic discretion and safety. The AUDIO SYSTEM shall be a QSC power amplifier with eight JBL Control 26T loud speakers installed in the drop ceiling, the audio level will be controlled by the Crestron Touch panel. The sound system will play back audio from any devise installed in the instructor podium only. Control System A Crestron Pro 2 processor shall be installed to control the projectors, VCR, DVD, Document camera. One Wireless Touch panel will be provided for system control, the Touch Panel will be able to control the projectors, DVD unit, VCR unit and Document camera. Control functions shall include ON/OFF, FF, REW, Start, Stop, Zoom and Focus. Equipment Rack A Middle Atlantic 18 space equipment rack will be installed to house the “non-user” intems to include: Crestron Control processor, Extron 1 x 6 RGBHV DA, QSC audio amplifier and two Netgear 24 port switches. Included in the equipment rack will be the rack rails, and required power for installed items. O&M Manual System Drawings Upon completion of system installation an O&M manual will be supplied with owner manual for each item installed. A line drawing showing equipment hook up will also be included.
