Description

Furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials and perform all work for removing existing windows and replacing them with new double glazed, tinted windows with low emissivity characteristics on the second floors of the upstream Control Houses at Eisenhower and Snell Locks located in Massena, New York. There will be a total of twenty-one (21) windows approximately 4 feet high x 3 feet 6 inches wide. A firm, fixed priced purchase order shall be awarded on or about June 15, 2006 with the work to be completed by September 15, 2006. The cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. There is a $30.00 US funds non-refundable fee for project drawings. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) package will be released approximately May 5, 2006 with a response date of June 7, 2006. Mail your request for the RFQ package along with the above fee to the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, Attn: Contracting Office, PO Box 520, 180 Andrews Street, Massena, New York 13662. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. Please register at www.ccr.gov. This project is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large businesses. NAICS code 238350; Size standard $12.0M. The Department of Transportation (DOT) offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOTs Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOTs Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable.
