- 1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; proposa ls are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2. Solicitation W911KB-06-T-0027 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-08 and DFARS Change Notice 20060412. 4. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE in accordance with FAR 19.502. The NAICS code is 488410, Size standards in millions of dollars: $6.5 5. CLIN 0001 Mobilization and Demobilization Geoprobe Drill Rig 6. This is the description for the following commercial item requirement for the Mobilization/Demobilization of a 6610 Geoprobe Drill Rig: STATEMENT OF WORK Mobilization/Demobilization of a 6610 Geoprobe Drill Rig Elmendorf AFB, Alaska 18 April 2006 1. GENERAL The Contractor shall transport the Geoprobe drill rig from Elmendorf Air Force Base (AFB) to Northway, Alaska on 11 May 2006. The Contractor shall transport the Geoprobe drill rig from Northway to Elmendorf AFB on 22 May 2006. The Contractor shall transp ort the Geoprobe drill rig from Elmendorf AFB to North Pole, Alaska on 30 May 2006. The Contractor shall transport the Geoprobe drill rig from North Pole to Elmendorf AFB on 14 June 2006. LOCATION OF WORK Elmendorf AFB The Geoprobe drill rig is currently located in a parking lot adjacent to building 2204 on Elmendorf AFB. The Contractor will access Elmendorf AFB through the Boniface gate. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will sponsor and escort the Con tractor on and off of Elmendorf AFB when picking up/returning the drill rig. The Contractor is responsible for coordinating with the USACE to arrange for pickup and return of the drill rig. Access to Elmendorf AFB will be limited to 0700 to 1600 Monday t hrough Friday unless specific arrangements are made with the USACE. Northway, Alaska The Contractor shall transport the Geoprobe drill rig to/from the Northway Airport Lodge (907-778-2266). The lodge is located adjacent to the Northway Airport in Northway, Alaska. The drill rig shall be staged in the guest parking lot behind the Northway Airport restaurant. North Pole, Alaska The Contractor shall transport the Geoprobe drill rig to/from the Beaver Lake Resort Motel (907-488-9600) in North Pole, Alaska. To get to the Beaver Lake Resort Motel from Fairbanks: Take the Richardson Highway South to North Pole. Once in North Pole, t urn left on Mission Road (1st intersection past overpass). The motel is located on the corner of Mission Road and the Richardson Highway. The Contractor shall stage the drill rig in the USACE reserved parking location (identified by the hotel receptioni st). 3. GEOPROBE DRILL RIG SPECIFICATIONS The Geoprobe drill rig is a small rubber track mounted drill rig that weighs approximately 6,000 pounds. The following figures illustrate the rough dimensions of the drill rig. 48 inches (1219mm) width; 94 inches (2388mm) length; 85 inches (2159mm) heigh t.
