- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will host an Industry Day for the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) program on Wednesday, 17 May 2006, at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in Hollywood, Maryland http://www.smhec.org/detail.cfm?info=location. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update on the BAMS program, inform industry of the requirements, CONOPS, competition timeline and technology maturity requirements and to provide a Question & Answer (Q&A)/networking opportunity. Please be advised that we intend to publish all names, phone numbers, and email addresses of industry attendees in all information packets. All Industry Day briefs will be posted on http://uav.navair.navy.mil. All attendee?s information will be compiled and emailed after the event. Check in will begin promptly at 0800 and end at 0900. Industry Day will begin at 0900 and briefings will continue through 1200. In lieu of one-on-one meetings, a Q&A session will be conducted after the briefings. Q&A sessions will be conducted in an open forum. Attendance at Industry Day is limited to five individuals per organization. For corporate entities having multiple distinct divisions, each division may send a maximum of five personnel. To pre-register for the BAMS UAS Industry Day, email Chantelle Kern at chantelle.kern.ctr@navy.mil. The subject line of your email response should read: BAMS Industry Day. Responses should include the attendee?s full name, company, address, phone number and email address. Registration by telephone will not be accepted. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. A fee of $20.00 will be collected for refreshments including continental breakfast and lunch. Please mail completed registration form and refreshment fee (check or money order) to Ausley Associates, Inc., Attn: Ray Warren, 46611 Corporate Drive, Suite 101, Lexington Park, MD 20653. A confirmation email will be sent that will also serve as your receipt. The deadline for submitting completed registration requests and refreshment fee is 10 May 2006. Due to limited seating, late registration and walk-ins will not be accepted. Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled. If you are unable to attend this event, please inform Chantelle Kern by 15 MAY 2006 including substitution information if applicable. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offer or for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
