Description

The Bureau of the Public Debt on behalf of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), intends to issue on a sole source basis, a simplified acquisition to Anton Paar, 10215 Timber Ridge Drive, Ashland, VA 23005, to obtain two (2) DMA5000 Density Meters. It?s the primary standard for the determination of proof (alcohol) in alcohol beverage products and for the preparation of all standards used for alcohol by gas chromatography. The Anton Paar unit includes automatic correction for barometric pressure and is the only meter certified to perform to the accuracy required for the labs (0.000005 units). Anton Paar is the only source of this DMA5000 Density Meter. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative response received no later than 2:00 PM EDT on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide a density meter that will meet accuracy requirements at terms more advantageous to the Government. Request for more information will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet all requirements that it is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole source award to Anton Paar.
