Description

The Missile Defense Agency intends to issue a Sole Source award for Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance for Ballistic Missile Defense simulation, architectures, evaluation of sensors, interceptors, and threats, concepts of operation, block development, elements and component system engineering, and advanced technologies contributing to future Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capabilities with Vanguard Research, Inc. NAICS code 541710. Projected scope consists of providing executive-level experts with recent BMDS experience as team members, conducting independent research investigations into the technical items above, and facilitating monthly senior advisory board meetings of these experts covering the science and engineering of the BMDS, development of key findings and recommendations on the technical issues involving the BMDS, and presentation to senior leadership. The contract performance period will be one base year and four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however responses received by 11 AM local time, May 2, 2006 will be reviewed. No formal solicitation package is available. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
