8. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; pr oposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)The solicitation number is W911QX-06-T-0042. This acquisition is issued as an RFQ, SOLE SOURCE, FFP. (iii)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-00001. (iv)The associated NAICS code is 611310 The small business size standard is $6.5M (v)The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): BASE AND 3 OPTION YEARS (CLINS 0001-0004) CALCE EPSC MEMBERSHIP- UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND CLIN 0005 CONTRACTING MANPOWER (vi) Description of Services: CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SUPER MEMBERSHIP TO CALCE EPSC INDUSTRIAL SPONSOR PROGRAM TO INCLUDE: SEAT ON THE CONSORTIUMS INDUSTRIAL ADVISORY BOARD ACCESS AND USE THE COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN SOFTWARE TOOLS AND TO OBTAIN TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS AND REPORTS FROM OTHER CENTER PROJECTS AND USE TUTORIALS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPED BY THE CENTER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A RESOURCE BASE TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF MILITARY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS. (vii)Delivery shall be made to U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Branch, ATTN:Mr. David Hopkins, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. (viii) Acceptance shall be performed at BLDG 4600, RM L1264, Mr. David Hopkins (iv) The FOB point is Dest (x) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision. (xi) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete w ith this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
