Description
The United States Army Communications-Electronic Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) intends to award a new work modification to contract W15P7T-04-C-P019 on a non-competitive basis in support of the Massively Deployable Unattended Ground Sensor (MDUGS) system. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Inc. (GDAIS), Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Government does not p ossess detailed technical data for the MDUGS software and algorithms to provide to other potential sources. MDUGS is an advanced networked acoustic and seismic sensor capable of detecting vehicle and personnel targets. It is used to provide critical bat tlefield information for use by Warfighters to increase situational awareness. The primary goal of the proposed R&D effort is to refine the distributed cluster management, imager change detection, and tracking algorithms; improve the operational life of e xisting hardware; integrate a military radio into the MDUGS hardware and develop an embedded gateway. The MDUGS will be used to demonstrate critical technical elements in support of the Armys Future Combat System (FCS). This additional effort is expected to have a period of performance of approximately 18 months. A tracking number of W15P7T-06-R-P026 has been assigned to this effort and should be referenced along with the contract number of W15P7T-04-C-P019. TECHNICAL questions should be addressed to Ms. Sharon Minor, email: sharon.minor@us.army.mil, 703-704-3101. CONTRACTUAL questions should be addressed to: Ms. Virginia Knight, Contracting Officer, email: Virginia.knight@us.army.mil; 732 532-4348 or Ms. Susan Showler, Contract Specialist, email: sus an.showler@us.army.mil; 732 427-1410.
