- The U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, Mat Sinking Unit proposes to enter in to a contract to provide, at a minimum, the services of a licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, License Practical Nurse (LPN), or a Regist ered Nurse (RN) to provide health care services for the employees.The unit employs approximately 340 men and 10 women who stay in dormitories aboard floating barges during the four-month work season. They move from one job site to another ranging from Cai ro, Illinios to Venice, Louisiana, often in remote locations along the river, and have limited communications facilities. The services are to be provide during the period beginning on or about July 3, 2006 through on or about November 20, 2006 in accordan ce with the specifications. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available on our web site when it issues. Responsibility for making sure that everything has been received included in the solicitation is the Contractor.
