Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The tracking number for this announcement is W911KB-06-R-0014. The NAICS code for this propose d acquisition is 236115. Federal Supply Code is Y161. The Government will use responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the procurement for this project. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers so licits a capability statement from all qualified and interested parties for a design-build construction contract for Army Family Housing on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The solicitation will be a competitive request for proposal and is anticipated to be issue d in September 2006. The project will consist of approximately 234 three-bedroom and five-bedroom housing units in the Glass Park Area of Fort Wainwright, AK. The expected cost magnitude is between $100,000,000.00 and $250,000,000.00. This will be a bes t value procurement and the Evaluation Board and the Source Selection Authority may consider factors such as Past Performance, Technical Qualifications, Technical Approach, Management Approach and Price. The Government is interested in determining the av ailability of sources capable of meeting this requirement and invites contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit: (1) Firm name, address, telephone & fax numbers; 2) Size Determination of firm: (Large Bu siness, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Hubzone, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business, or Women Owned Small Business); 3) Past Experience- Description of completed projects that are similar in size and scope of the proposed project and the percentage of self-performed work; and 4) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings , but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Governme nt pay for information solicited.
