- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerial items perpared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quote are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number, N00104-06-Q-Q282, is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). This procurement is being issued in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for small businesses. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, PA has a requirement for the following items: CLIN 0001: Qualstar TLS-6220 Tape Library, P/N: 900153 CLIN 0002: TLS SDLE 320-LVD BRC Drive Assy. Can read DLT-IV tapes, read and write, P/N: TLS SDLT 320-LVD BRC CLIN 0003: Barcode Reader, P/N: 500983-04-4 CLIN 0004: I/O Port, P/N: 501195-01-0 The contractor shall offer the Government the same warranty terms offered to the general public. These warranty terms must be included in the system price. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, and the provision of 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commerical Items, applies to this acqusition. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to that responsible offeror proposing the lowest price for the items required. This sytem will support the Joint Engineering Data Management and Information Control System (JEDMICS)located at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Pascagoula, MS. Quotes are requested no later than close of business on 26 April 2006 and shall be submitted via email to tammi.reasner@navy.mil.
