- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Elsevier Inc. located in Saint Louis, MO 63146. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing a renewal of a one year subscription for a Multi-Site Online Access to MD Consult E-Books and E-Journal titles. There are 135 subscribed book and journal titles through MD Consult. These books and journals are already subscribed to by the CDC Information Center Library. Elsevier provides the only source for a multi-site license that will provide access for all CDC/ATSDR staff. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 (a)(2) ? Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 511120. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide a multi-site access license for all the required books and journals need to submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
