- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard intends to solicit, and award a sole source procurement to Trivec Avant Corporation, in Huntington Beach, CA. The Coast Guard has a requirement to procure 1 ea 2098-130 Remote Command Unit (RCU) for the AV-2098-2 SATCOM System; 1 ea 2098-131 Transfer Switching Unit (TSU) for the AV-2098-2 SATCOM System. The existing AV-2098-2 Satellite Communications system is a unique digital SATCOM system installed on US Coast Guard Cutters, and manufactured by Trivec. The RCU and TSU are special ordered on a as needed basis. Substitutions are not acceptable. The Coast Guard has determined therefore that competition is not available. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with Trivec Avant Corporation. Performance shall be in accordance with the standards contained in applicable purchase order clauses contained in the award. This solicitation will be small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is 517410. The size standard is $12.5 million. The contract type will be firm fixed price. Negotiations with Trivec Avant Corp will begin on or about 09 May 2006.
