Description
This announcement is amended to issue Screening Information Request/Request for Offer (SIR/RFO) No. DTFAAC-06-R-01811, Test Equipment Repair and Calibration Services. In addition, the Performance Work Statement has been revised and Technical Exhibit 10 has been revised. ************************************************************************** Announcement below posted: March 14, 2006 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is announcing its plan for the acquisition of Test Equipment Repair and Calibration Services for the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The contractor shall provide all services, personnel, material, supplies, supervision, labor, and equipment, except that specified as Government-furnished, required to operate the Test Equipment Repair and Calibration workcenter at the MMAC by performing the services described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The current version of the PWS is provided as a separate document under this announcement. Interested parties are also encouraged to visit the MMAC Home Page at http://www.mmac.faa.gov The contract will be for a 1-year base period with four 1-year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. The proposed contract will be an Indefinite-Delivery/Requirements type contract with time-and-material provisions. The FAA estimates the cost for the total 5-year period to be approximately $9,000,000. This acquisition will use streamlined acquisition procedures employing best practices for competitive negotiated procurements as authorized by the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) of 1996. Offers will be evaluated and contract award made on the basis of "Best Value to the FAA." In the near future, a Screening Information Request (SIR) will be posted to the Internet which all interested sources can download. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the MMAC in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the purpose of clarifying the requirement, permit general discussions regarding the SIR, and a guided tour of the workcenter. The time and date will be specified in the SIR.
