- Description
- Provide architect/engineer services to complete the design of a project to repair and/or replace the medical gas systems, to include oxygen, medical air and vacuum systems, in Building 1, the main hospital building, at the VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The A/E firm shall also determine a location and design the relocation of the oxygen storage tank on the grounds of the VA Medical Center. Design considerations will include, but not necessarily be limited to: replacement of distributions lines, valves, outlets, alarms and associated devices for all listed gases as required to comply with all applicable codes including national, state and VA directives; repair of walls, ceilings, doors and floors damaged or requiring alteration during replacement of medical gas systems; oxygen tank location to meet all applicable codes; and continued Medical Center operation during construction. Evaluation consideration will be as follows: (1) specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) geographic location and facilities of the working office; (4) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project. Area of consideration is restricted to small-business firms within a 250-mile radius of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Firms desiring consideration should submit an SF 330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications on or before May 15, 2006. Award is subject to availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal. Firms submitting on 564-06-04 need not re-apply.
