Description

This is a notice of intent to award a contract on a sole source basis. The Government intends to solicit/negotiate/award on a Sole Source basis with Action Target, Inc., PROVO, UT, under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for the procurement of an After Action Review (AAR) camera and video surveillance system for a Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) shoothouse training facility at Fort Bliss, TX under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. An intimate familiarity with the MOUT facility is essential in identifying the AAR requirements, i dentifying the necessary AAR components, and installing the AAR system. The MOUT facility was installed by Action Target and they have the required levels of knowledge necessary to satisfy this requirement. No MOUT layouts or floor plans are available for distribution and additional site visits would be cost prohibitive to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals and no solicitations will be forthcoming. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract is s olely at the discretion of the government. This notice shall serve as an announcement of subcontracting opportunities.
