Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, desires to identify 8(a), Hub-zone certified businesses, W omen-owned business, Veteran-owned and Service-Disabled contractors capable of providing construction services in connection with approximately 100 projects. The NAICS Codes in Section 23- Construction and subsections 236, 237, 238 and the appropriate size standards. The estimated cost range for projects included in this sources sought is $1.0 - $26.0 million. These projects are part of the Base Realignment and Closure 05 (BRAC) implementation. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisitions, solicitation announcements will be published in the Federal Business Opportun ity for the respective projects. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. All interested offerors will have the opportunity to respond to solicitation announcements at a later time. Work will consist, but not be limited to, vertical, horizontal, and heav y construction using either design-build or design-bid-build for everything. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company as 8(a), Hub-zone certified business, Women-owned business, Veteran-owned and/or Service-Disabled with inclusion of SBA ce rtificate; (2) maximum bonding capacity for a single project and aggregate; (3) knowledge of antiterrorism and force protection requirements; (4) preparation of requests for proposal for design-build contracts; and (5) Experience with construction manage r at risk. This notice is to assist the Baltimore District, Corps of Engineers in determining potential sources only. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the informati on solicited.
