Description: ONLY RESPOND IF YOU ARE A HUBZONE CERTIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTOR, AN 8A GENERAL CONTRACTOR, OR A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED GENERAL CONTRACTOR. The purpose of this Market Survey is to determine if there is an adequate number of interested qualified general contractors that are Hubzone, 8a, or SDVO. If there is an adequate number we will set this project aside for one of them. This project consists of the design and construction of Phase 1 of the Visitors Quarters (estimated at 34,500 sqft) at Homest ead Air Reserve Base, FL. Phase 1 includes 23 VQ rooms, 11 Business Suites, Maids' Cart Rooms, and Guest Service Rooms. Construction includes a hipped standing seam metal roof, concrete slab on grade, exterior finish and insulation system(EIFS) above spl it-faced block water table, precast floor units, suspended tile and gypsum board ceilings, gypsum board partitions, insulating glass units with laminated glass, casework, interior and exterior lighting, hvac and plumbing systems, communications, electrical work, automatic sprinklers, fire detection, site work, sidewalks, bituminous paving, and utilities. The estimated performance period is 500 days, the RFP is estimated to be issued in June 06 and the award is estimated to be made in Sept. 06. The estimat ed cost of this project falls in the range of $5 to $10 million.
