Description: Mobile District intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with hypack software for licenses, maintenance, installation, and training. The proposed contract action is for supplies, services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. hypack max software is necessary to provide the ability for the cartographers to prepare survey files and for the surveyors to be able to view sections real time at the jobsite. The proposed software is com patible with current tremble and racal gps survey system hardware on the governments vessels and will serve to make all equipment universal in all districts of south atlantic division as part of a regionalization effort. Interested persons may identify th eir interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received is solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive proc urement.
