Museum Artifact Move, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park (SAFR), San Francisco, California. Solicitation Number R8520060031. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to the move of 114 museum objects in the collection of San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park from the Aquatic Park Bathhouse (Museum Building), 900 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA to two locations: Building E, Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, CA and Building 169, 1680 Viking Street, Alameda, CA. These are invaluable, irreplaceable collection items, thus the project requires extra security measures and careful handling throughout the loading, transporting, and unloading process. Climate controlled transportation with air-ride suspension is required. Contractor must have recent experience in the field of moving major museum collections and must list at least 3 references for similar projects within the past 5 years. Award will be based upon submission of technical abilities, references and price. The NAICS code for this project is 711510 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. Contract duration is 30 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. This procurement is 100% Set-aside for Small Business, and the National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties, the date and time will be identified in the solicitation. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation.
