Description

PROJECT NAME: Harold Wetland Restoration ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 LOCATION: Miami County, Kansas (Sections 10 & 15, Township 18(S), Range 22(E). SUMMARY: Earthwork activities including site preparation, excavation of borrow and construction of embankment(s); installation of pipe and water level control structures; seeding operations; installation of erosion control practices; and installation of fence as shown on the plans and specifications for the purpose of restoring and enhancing habitat for the Wetland Restoration Program site in Miami County, Kansas QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 9,292 cubic yards of earth fill activities; an estimated 4.0 acres of critical area planting; excavation of core trenches at an estimated 2,095 cubic yards; installation of 134 linear feet of 12? and 100 linear feet of 10? PVC pipe and one in-line water level control structure ? 12?x7? and 10?x4?, 550 linear feet of erosion control practices; and 3,020? of fence. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and 14 days for inclement weather is 44 work days assuming 10 hr work days, 5 day work weeks. Tentative Dates for: Solicitation = May 9, 2006, Bid opening = June 12, 2006 Completion Date of Work = August 18, 2006. This solicitation is unrestricted and is not set-aside for small business concerns. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be accomplished at the CCR website: http://www.ccr.gov.
