Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Unaxis USA, Inc., Saint Petersburg, FL, under the authority of FAR 13.106 1(b), soliciting from a single source. The object of this requirement is to procure a one year service contract for a Reactive Ion Etch and Shutleline ICP equipment. The results of market research have resulted in a determination that Unaxis USA, Inc. appears to be the only source for the maintenance of this equipment as they are the manufacturers of the equipment and they do not allow third-party companies to service their equipment. The anticipated award date of this order is on or about fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement to provide to noted system may provide evidence to so indicate no later than the response date noted above. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed purchase order is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information, call the POC identified below.
