Description

A Firm Fixed-price, Five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated for the following items: ITEM NSN P/N 1. Base, Carrying Assembly 1005-01-382-7083 12951021 2. Base, Rear Sight 1005-01-382-7086 12951028 3. Index, Elevation 1005-01-382-7089 12951018 4. Carrying Handle Assy, Complete 1005-01-465-0401 12951011 5. Screw, Swivel 5305-01-459-5982 12012083 6. Nut, Receiver Extension 5310-01-233-8625 9390020 7. Knob, Elevation 5355-01-382-6801 12951019 8. Post, Front Sight 1005-01-134-3625 9349056 9. Base, Rear Sight 1005-01-134-3631 9349074 1. Base, Carrying Assembly, NSN 1005-01-382-7083, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of forged aluminum alloy 7075. Consists of carrying handle base, clamp, (2) clamp studs, (2) handle assembly nuts. Precision machining and phospha te coating required. Dimensions: overall length is approximately 7.00 inches. 2. Base, Rear Sight, NSN 1005-01-382-7086, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of steel casting. Precision machining and phosphate coating required. Approximate overall dimensions are 1.125 x .0805 x 1.665. 3. Index, Elevation is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of aluminum 7075-T6 or T651, ASTM B 211. Outside diameter is 1.01 inches after knurl; inside diameter is .579 inches; thickness is .251 inches. 4. Carrying Handle Assembly, Complete, NSN 1005-01-465-0401, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of forged aluminum alloy 7075. Consists of carrying handle base assembly, rear sight assembly, elevation index, elevation knob, index & elevation springs, spring pin and bearing balls Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Overall length is approximately 7.00 inches. 5. Screw, Swivel, NSN 5305-01-459-5982, is used on M4 and M4A1 rifles. Material consists of steel, ANSI 1030-1040. Phosphate coating is required. The screw is approximately .75 inch long with a .50 inch diameter slotted head and .216-28 UNF-2A threads. 6. Nut, Receiver Extension, NSN 5310-01-233-8625, is used on M4 and M4A1 rifles. Material consists of AISI 1137 cold drawn. Phosphate coating is required. The nut is 1.37 inch outside diameter with 1.1875-16UN-3B inside threads. The nut has (4) equall y spaced .160 wide slots. 7. Knob, Elevation, NSN 5355-01-382-6801, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of aluminum alloy 7075-T6 or T651. Dimensions: the knob is .367 inch thick with large diameter of 1.01 inches after knurl and small diameter of .576 inch. The inside diameter has .500-13.5 ACME-2G mod threads. There are (24) .062 diameter thru holes with .091 diameter csink equally spaced on the large diameter. 8. Post, Front Sight, NSN 1005-01-134-3625, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of steel cold drawn. Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Overall length is .800 inches; large diameter is .366 inches; .164-36 UNF-2 A threads. 9. Base, Rear Sight, NSN 1005-01-134-3631, is used on M4, M4A1 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of steel casting. Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Approximate overall dimensions are 1.120 x .0800 x 1.680. Level of packaging and preservation is Commercial. FOB is Destination. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The approximate issue date will be 10 May 2006 with an approximate response date of 9 June 2006. CLINS will be evaluated and awa rded separately. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incu mbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt o f proposals may render you r bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid o r proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, C ity, State, Zip Code, and Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet. A signed Non-disclosure and Non-use agreement must be submitted to the Contract Specialist before the TDP will be released to vendors. Notes 1 and 9 apply.
