Description

A Firm Fixed-price, Five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated for the following items: ITEM NSN P/N 1. Plate, Receiver, End 1005-01-233-8530 9390021 2. Protector Rail 1005-01-394-7677 12972676 3. Gas Tube Assembly 4710-01-233-8637 9390016 4. Trigger Subassembly 1005-01-219-2402 9392518 5. Selector, Fire Control 1005-01-225-8339 9381367 6. Disconnect Burst 5340-01-144-1499 9349113 7. Disconnect Semi 5340-01-145-7910 9349114 1. Plate, receiver, end, NSN 1005-01-233-8530, is used on the M4/M4A1 Carbine Rifles. Material consists of cold rolled carbon steel. Phosphate coating is required. Approximate thickness is 0.185 inches; overall length is approximately 2.0625 inches; ov erall width is approximately 1.365 inches. 2. Protector rail, NSN 1005-01-394-7677, is used on the M4A1 Carbine Rifle. Material consists of styrene-butadiene plastic molding. Dimensions: Overall length is 7.00 inches; width is .8345 inches; thickness is .060 inches; 88 degree angle on each side for the entire length. 3. Gas tube assembly, NSN 4710-01-233-8637, is used on the M4/M4A1 Carbine Rifles. Material consists of steel, tubing, corrosion resistant. Phosphate coating is required. Dimensions: overall length is 9.786 inches. Consists of gas tube and gas tube pl ug. 4. Trigger subassembly is used on the M16A2 rifle. Material consists of steel cast with springs. Phosphate coating is required. Overall dimensions are 2.0 inches by 0.276 by 1.56 inches. 5. Selector, fire control, NSN 1005-01-225-8339, is used on the M4/M4A1 and M16A2 rifles. Material consists of steel, investment cast. Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Overall dimensions are 1.180 inches by 1.150 inches. 6. Disconnect Burst, NSN 5340-01-144-1499, is used on the M4, M16A2 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of steel, carbon AISI 1065. Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Dimensions are approximately 1.50 inches by 7/8 inch by .173 inc h. 7. Disconnect Semi, NSN 5340-01-145-7910, is used on the M4, M16A2 and M16A4 rifles. Material consists of carbon AISI 1065. Precision machining and phosphate coating are required. Dimensions are approximately 1.75 inches by 7/8 inch by .100 inch. Level of packaging and preservation is Commercial. FOB is Origin. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The approximate issue date will be 10 May 2006 with an approximate response date of 9 June 2006. CLINS will be evaluated and awarded separately. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time se t for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render you r bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP i n order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (op tional), Street Address, Ci ty, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet. A signed Non-disclosure and Non-use agreement must be submitted to the Contract Specialist before the TDP will be relea sed to vendors.
