Description

U.S. Army TACOM has a requirement for submission of an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) for the development of a new turret azimuth reference and position location system for the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) Light Armored Vehicle  Mortar (L AV-M(S)), produced by General Dynamics Land Systems  Canada (GDLS-C). The SANGs current LAV-M(S) turret has an Attitude Sensing Global Positioning System (ASGPS) that is obsolete. The ECP is to consist of a proposed technical solution that includes rec ommended hardware for retrofit/upgrade of the SANG fleet of 73 each LAV-M(S), a onetime 2 ? year concurrent spare parts package, technical manual change pages in SANG style and format, testing (USG and contractor), and Instructor and Key Personnel Training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Successful completion of this effort will require full access to the LAV-M(S) turret TDP, currently controlled by General Dynamics Land Systems  Canada. See Note 22.
