Description

The US Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, National Business Center, Security Services is requesting market and industry participation to provide product information for the following: A secure cabinet for storage of sensitive keys. DOI is aware of typical key cabinets commercially available but is looking for more sophisticated models. The cabinet should: Hold 40 - 50 individual or groups of keys (with the possibility for future expansion) Have an audit log of who removed which keys, when they were removed, and when they were returned. The keys should be individually secured within the cabinet (only the key(s) requested can be removed) Need to be able to assign individual user codes for the removal of keys. Need to be able to assign the rights to remove certain keys to certain individuals (an individual may have rights to remove all or only a few select keys). The system must include computer software (Windows XP compliant) to manage the keys, access rights, transactions, alarms, and reports. The system must have either LAN connectivity or a port to connect a laptop (or both). The request for the removal or return of a key must be at the cabinet interface (not just thru the computer interface). System must know which key is where ('smart tags'). System should have the option for a biometric reader for identification of the user (fingerprint reader is preferred). This "Sources Sought" is solely for the purpose of identifying potential products.
