Description

The purpose of the amendment is to change the word lease to rent throughout the solicitation, except in FAR Clauses 52.208-4, 52.208-5 and 52.228-8, answer the contractor's questions and change the performance period. The closing date is 2:00 PM EST, 27 April 2006. Question: The first question is how many hours are these machines going to be used each year? Answer: Approximately 1200 hours per year for each forklift. Question: The second question we have is about the 10,000 lb machine. It says that it needs to have a seven foot clearance. Answer: The 10,000 lb. forklift shall shift left and right, tilt and include a boom that will extend out. An 8 foot clearance is acceptable. The performance period begins 1 June 2006 and is changed as follows: BASE PERIOD 1 June 2006-31 May 2007 FIRST OPTION PERIOD 1 June 2007 ? 31 May 2008 SECOND OPTION PERIOD 1 June 2008-31 May 2009 THIRD OPTION PERIOD 1 June 2009-31 May 2010 FOURTH OPTION PERIOD 1 June 2010-31 May 2011
