Item 0001 NOUN: Frame, Compressor, NSN: 2840-00-782-4518 OK, P/N: 4007T78G04, applicable to J0085021 Engine. Dimensions: Circular in shape, 17.000 inches outside diameter with width of 4.056 in. All dimensions are nominal. Material: Predominant metal Inconel 718. Description and Function: Serves as main structural component of the engine. Houses power take-off (PTO) assembly & provides mount for 12 flow divider-fuel nozzles, the accessory drive gearbox assembly & 4 customer bleed air take-off pads. Consists of an outer casing & an inner casing joined by 6 hollow struts located at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 o’clock position. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: 10 Ea on or before 30 Jun 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be will be 20 Mar 2006. The anticipated award date will be 25 Apr 06. Only qualified source may apply. The following source has been approved for this acquisition: Sole Source: General Electric (99207). This part requires engineering source approval in order to maintain the quality of the part. Engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Qualified sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
