Description

Solicitation 8006-23 seeks year round on-call helicopter flight services for one light helicopter, fully contractor operated and maintained, to support the National Park Service at North Cascades Park National Park, Skagit Ranger Station, Marblemount, WA. Types of work may include Search and Rescue, STEP (single-skid, toe-in, hover-entry/exit-protocol) landings, short-haul, low-level (less than 500 feet above ground level) reconnaissance flights, sling load and long line. Fire or fire related work are not included in the activities to be performed under the contract. The contract includes options to extend the contract up to an additional two years. The Contractor shall possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 135, 133, and 137. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is May 2, 2006. It is a requirement that the successful awardee be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Solicitation information will be available through the fedbizopps site (found under Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, NBC, Aviation Management Headquarters, Boise, ID and at www.oas.gov. Set aside for small business.
