- NASA Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for Information Science and Library Services in support of the GSFC libraries to be performed at Greenbelt, Maryland and Wallops Island, Virginia locations. Services to be acquired include: Collection Building, Access Services, Information Navigation, Electronic Library Support, Digital Preservation Support, Metrics and Reporting, Special Information and Library Services. This competitive procurement will result in a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. (CPAF/IDIQ). This contract will have an effective ordering period of 5-years from the effective date. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a 100% total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 519120 and $6.5M respectively. The anticipated release date of the DRFP is on or about May 31, 2006. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about June 21, 2006 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about July 21, 2006. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
