Description

This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the Request for Quotes. The Securities and Exchange Commission has a requirement for Electrical Alterations for its Washington, DC and Virginia facilities. The work requires the services of an Electrical Contractor licensed to perform work in the District of Columbia and Virginia to perform all electrical (low and high voltage) and related work. The work includes but is not limited to removal, relocation or addition to existing fire alarm devices, furnish and install ladder racks, removal relocation and installation of electrical wiring and devices wall and floor outlets, switches, lighting, and exit lighting, removal, relocation and installation of data/voice cable, RJ45 outlets, analog phone outlets, installation of specialty power receptacles for Data Center equipment, installation of CATV cable/outlets, installation of Audio Visual equipment, installation of fiber optic cable, and installation of security cabling as specified. The period of performance will be from the date of award to one year (base period) and four one year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 and the acquisition action is under FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures--Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Quotes are being requested. A copy of the Solicitation with instructions for submitting a Quote in response to Request for Quotes No. SECHQ1-06-Q-0020 may be requested by email. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment maintenance. Potential vendors are requested to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award.
