Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a firm, fixed-price contract to Replace the National Garden Sidewalk, for the Architect of the Capitol, Washington, D.C. The contract work can be summarized as follows: a. Erection of barricades and warning lights, b. Removal of indicated existing concrete sidewalk and preparation of sub-grade, c. Provision of new aggregate concrete sidewalk, d. Realignment of existing granite curb and the replacement of any curb that is deemed unsafe for public, and e. Construction and installation of a handicap ramp (Option I). The solicitation will be issued on or about December 15, 2005. The due date for receipt of proposals is January 31, 2006. Actual construction activities shall start on or about March 31, 2006. Requests for hard copies (including drawings) must be made to Fred Witcher, Contracting Officer via fax to (202) 225-3221 or email at fwitcher@aoc.gov. This solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. Date and time for a site visit will be determined later. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
