- PROJECT ORDER PRDSCRDCSK6062, NSN 6135-01-515-4260, Energex P/N L304322. Item is nonfunctional when used in the field equipment. The contact to contact distance is too short to allow the equipments electrical connections to make contact with the batteries positive and negative terminals. The contractor would be required to receive the inventory of discrepant batteries (1707 each) at its facility and perform normal incoming inspection. Remove the units from their packing, remove the outer heat shrink tubing and determine a course of action that would facilitate the correction of the contact distance to specification requirements of 2.585+/- .031 inches. Upon determination of a course of action, the procedure for repair shall be determined, the materials required will be procured by the contractor and the repair activity will commence. Upon completion, contractor shall insure the batteries meet all dimensional and electrical requirements of the specification.
