Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Glen Falls Interweb, in South Glens Falls, NY for the development of one (1) maintenance manual and one (1) scope of work for process sensor upgrades on an existing machine.*** ***Glen Falls Interweb will be developing a maintenance manual for an existing Rotoformer Paper Machine. Glen Falls Interweb will also develop a list of possible upgrades for the existing Rotoformer Paper Machine. Sole source determination is based on the fact that Glen Falls Interweb owns all technical assets and proprietary rights to the Rotoformer Paper Machine, which they obtained when they purchased Sandy Hill Corporation. *** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 60 days after receipt of order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333291, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by May 08, 2006.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
