Description
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region, requires a contractor to video, photograph, map and catalogue geomorphic and biological shore-zone resources at effective mapping scales of better than 1:10,000 for various locations in Southeast Alaska (SEAK) and potentially other locations of Alaska including Prince William Sound (PWS). The objective of this project is to complete the necessary inventory and mapping of various segments of Alaska coastline in order to compile a continuous dataset. The base data used for habitat mapping in ShoreZone is low-tide aerial and still imagery. Research and management activities by federal, state, and local agencies and by nongovernmental organizations require a georeferenced GIS dataset that includes shoreline geomorphology, substrate, and important biological habitats. The resulting contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum order amount of $10,000 and maximum order amount of $1,500,000 over the life of the contract. Task Orders will be issued on an as needed basis defining specific ShoreZone sites and deliverables. The period of performance will begin on date of contract award (approx. 9/15/06) and will continue for four one-year option periods (approx. 9/14/11). A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be available on or about May 15, 2006, through this website. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. No telephone, facsimile, or written requests will be accepted. It is incumbent upon interested parties to register at the solicitation's site for notification and to review the site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Technical questions regarding this solicitation should be addressed to Sharon.S.Kent@noaa.gov. This requirement is advertised as full and open competition. All responsible, responsive sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency.
