Description

Provide radiation safety officer services to VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS)from date of contract award through May 31, 2007. Contractor shall provide initial and annual Radiation Safety training to all radioactive material users, provide a quarterly nuclear medicine audit of the VAMC Spokane, and be responsible for ensuring that radiation safety activities are being performed in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements. Minimally, the health physicist performing work under this contract shall meet NRC and VHA NHPP training and experience requirements for a Radiation Safety Officer of a broad scope medical program. The physicist is subject to NHPP approval on the VAPSHCS Radioactive Material Permit and must be certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiological Physics. The solicitation will be issued approximately May 8, 2006.
