<font face=Arial size=2 color=green>BACKGROUND: The Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center will lease a mobile CAT Scan Unit on a short-term basis during part of June 2006. More specific dates will follow in the solicitation. Offerors will be invited to submit price quotes for daily and weekly lease periods. WHERE: Unit will be located on the grounds of the VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18711. A site adjacent to the Nursing Home Care Unit, Parking Lot ?N? was previously prepared to accommodate a mobile unit. UNIT SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Mid to high end spiral General Electric CT scanner in a mobile environment. 2. Single slice CT unit. 2. CAT Scan unit should be outfitted with all the amenities of an in-house CT suite to include capability for injectibles. 3. Standard power connector to comply with the 120 & 220 volt power outlets already available. 4. 400 lb capacity hydraulic patient lifts. 5. ADA-compliant. 6. Accessibility of a phone line, data ports, digital interfacing and DICOM III connectivity. 7. Availability of dry laser printer within the mobile unit. 8. Repair services to unit within 4 hours of notification by the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. Full operating service needs to be restored within an additional 4 hours or replacement unit provided, thereby guaranteeing total unavailability of service will not exceed 8 hours. Charges will cease during down-time. 9. Orientation of staff on use of mobile unit; unit will then be staffed by WBVAMC technicians. 10. Image quality must be IAW American College of Radiology standards. 11. Legible documentation of all required licenses, permits, and maintenance will be provided with offeror?s quote. <div align=center> This is not a solicitation. No documents are attached.
