Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Modification of the C/KC-135 Thetford Electra Magic Model 80 Recreational Vehicle (RV) Toilet PURPOSE The 827th ACSG Contracting Office, Tinker AFB, OK, is conducting market research to determine estimated cost, schedule, and performance parameters to modify the Thetford Electra Magic Model 80 Recreational Vehicle (RV) Toilet so that it meets the airworthiness certification criteria for use on the C/KC-135 aircraft. This modification will replace non-airworthy components of the toilet assembly and modify the installation of the toilet assembly in the aircraft. This modification must be accomplished without replacing the toilet. DESCRIPTION The Thetford Electra Magic Model 80 Recreational Vehicle (RV) Toilet has been installed on approximately 250 Air National Guard (ANG) C/KC-135 aircraft. However, it contains components that are not certified as airworthy for installation on the aircraft. The Model 80 toilet is mounted in the aircraft at Body Station 400 against the left hand side of the fuselage facing the right side of the aircraft. Performance parameters, to include design and installation 2. Approximate cost information 3. Start-to-finish schedule estimates 4.
