Description

A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate SBA HUBZONE certified, SBA 8(a) certified, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors for this proposed project which meet the specific criteria for a competitive set-aside award. The proposed contract will be to construct a Army Reserve Center (ARC), total of 9,682 SF. Primary facilities include armed forces reserve center, organizational vehicle parking and building information systems. Supporting facilities incl ude paving, fencing, general site improvements, extension of utilities and stormwater management. Connection will be provided to the fire detection and alarm system and building information systems. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Force pr otection measures will be incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintain ed. Demolish 1 Building at Ernie Pyle USARC/AMSA #12, NY. Air Conditioning (Estimated 400 Tons). This project is planned for advertising in September 2006, with award scheduled in December 2006. Contract duration is 720 days. NAICS Code is 236220. The e stimated cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. 15% of the work must be self-performed. All interested SBA HUBZONE certified, SBA 8(a) certified or Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors should notify this office in writing b y mail, email or fax within 15 calendar days of the posting date of this announcement before 4:00 PM Louisville time. Responses should include: (1) Identification of the company as either a SBA HUBZONE certified, SBA 8(a) certified or Service Disabled Vete ran Owned small business, (2) Past Experience - Provide description of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope and dollar value. Projects considered similar to this project i nclude schools, office buildings, libraries, learning centers, etc., the percentage of self-performed work, what work was self-performed, and the performance rating for the work, (3) Letter from bonding agency indicating performance and payment bonds appro val for a project in the dollar range listed above, (4) a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 15% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified SBA HUBZONE certified, SBA 8(a) certified or Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors do not respond this planned action may be an unrestricted competitive procurement. This is not a Solicitation Announcement or Reques t for Proposal, nor does it constitute any commitment by the Government. No award will result from this Market Survey. The purpose is to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources.
