Description

The objective of this requirement is to provide physical security for the Navajo Dam and related buildings and grounds. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, material, supplies, uniforms, and supervision needed to satisfactorily perform guard protective services. The general duties shalll include: 1. Protect life and property from fire, accident, theft, sabotage, and trespass. 2. Guard and protect Government materials and equipment from potential loss or theft. 3. Make assigned patrols. 4. Report evidence of fire, safety hazards, and/or security problems. 5. Perform other security functions or duties which are determined essential to ensure satisfactory accomplishment of the guard service. 6. Wear uniform and badge which clearly identifies the guard by name and as a security person. The performance period shall include a base year with two option years. Performance will begin September 1, 2006 to August 30, 2007. The requirment will be solicited under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items with a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 561612 with a size standard of $10.5 million. Prospective vendors must be registered in CCR prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Personal Identity Verification of Contractor Personnel (FAR Clause 52.204-9) procedures are required under this contract that implement Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance M-05-24, and Federal Information Processing Standards Publication (FIPS PUB) Number 201. The solicitation will include Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements.
