THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR ROBOTIC FRICTION STIR WELDING SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendments in their proposal. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. For FedBizOpps viewers, all attachments provided with the original combo synopsis are accessed at the link provided in amendment 1. Second sentence in the Evaluation Criteria document is revised to read: "Offerors should meet or exceed all solicitation requirements (to include the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Attachment 1 to the Model contract)." The corrected document is uploaded herewith. The following question and answer is provided in response to questions asked: Question: On the statement of work document Section 13.1.10 please specify the CAM system MSFC plans on using for this machine. Answer: MSFC uses multiple CAD/CAM packages including EDS PLM Solution's NX CAM, Dessault System's CATIA CAM, and PTC's Pro/NC. MSFC would ask that offerors recommend a CAM package with their proposal. It is preferred to use an industry recognized off-the-shelf product.
