- Description
- Ground Storage Tank # 5, Kirkuk, Iraq. This procurement is being issued for full and open competition and solicited utilizing a Request for Proposal. The applicable NAICS code is 221310 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. In the even t the selected bid exceeds $1,000,000 and is from a large business, it will be necessary for that firm to submit a subcontracting plan that is acceptable to the Government prior to award. Work consists of the construction of a 31,500 cubic meter Ground St orage Tank with associated facilities. The major features includes the following: (1)Three Reinforced Concrete Ground Storage Tanks, (2)A Control Building, (3)Instrumentation for Water Level Sensing, (4) Site work, including earthwork, access roads, sidew alk, concrete drainage ditches, drainage pipe with concrete headwalls, fencing, and landscaping, (5) Service water tank, (6)Electrical power to the site, (7)Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and (8)Standby 150 KVA Outdoor Generator with concrete pad and canopy. This project will also have optional bid items that consist of the following: (1)One Reinforced Concrete Ground Storage Tanks (Cell 1), including access ladders, hatches, vents, compacted foundation sub-base stone, (2)1200mm and 1400mm Ef fluent Flow Meters, (3)Chlorination Building with associated chlorination equipment, electrical, and HVAC, (4)Asphalt Surfacing of a gravel access road, (5)Distribution Chamber. The construction shall adhere to International Building Codes as specified. Wo rk to include all construction activities related to this project. The estimated order of magnitude of construction items in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The estimated period of performance f or this project is 365 days after notice to proceed.
