Description

Provide precision rotary index-positioning table to be used in test support activities in the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Propulsion Wind Tunnel (PWT) Facilities at Arnold Air Force Base Tennessee. This item is to be used to source field-check positions to electronic angular measuring equipment. This electronic angular measuring equipment is used to calibrate all model support hardware and test article control surfaces installed in the PWT facility. The Contractor shall provide sufficient information to show that they can manufacture the precision rotary index-positioning table to the specification within the time frame specified and show NIST traceable calibration history. All equipment must have a warranty period of at least two years after final delivery. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold AFB TN 37389-8000 within ten (10) weeks after contract award. Solicitation will be released on or about 5 May 2006, with a response date of 30 May 2006 at 2PM Central Standard Time. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) System in order to be eligible for an award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1449 by the proposal closing date and time specified in the solicitation. There will not be a public bid opening. Facsimile or electronic proposals will not be allowed.
