- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for delivery of four (4) units of ?Turn-Key? Portable, Self-Contained, Low-Profile Variable Ratio Plural Component Paint Proportioning System for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF), Bremerton, WA. The Government requires the contractor to design, manufacture, assemble, install, test, groom all equipment required to provide a complete system as specified in the Specifications that will be attached to the solicitation. The system shall support two airless paint spray guns simultaneously, with each spray gun delivering a minimum of 1.0 gallon per minute at 4,500 psi to the gun tip (.017-inch orifice) at a 4:1 mix ratio. Both guns shall be located 200 feet from the portable skid. The proposed system shall be rated for an operational pressure of 5,600 psi or higher. If the system being proposed has a higher operational pressure, the contractor shall provide all applicable components parts rated at the higher pressure. The System shall dispense the following paints: (1) ultra-high solids paints meeting the requirements of MIL-PRF 23236 Paint Coating Systems, Fuel, and Salt Water Ballast Tanks and (2) Epoxy paints meeting the requirements of MIL-DTL 24441 Paint and Epoxy-Polyamide General Specification. The system shall be installed in an industrial manufacturing building having limited space. The system shall fit within the following site dimensions: (1) Maximum Overall System Length: 5 feet, 7 inches; (2) Maximum Overall System Width: 3 feet, 7 inches; (3) Maximum Overall System Height: 7 feet, 0 inches; (4) Maximum Overall System Weight: 2,500 lbs. The system shall be designed to operate in a salt and dust laden outdoor industrial environment, subject to wind driven rain, sleet, and snow. (1) Temperature Range: -10 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit, (2) Relative Humidity: up to 100 percent non-condensing. The systems will be delivered by 30 June 2006 in an FOB destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. This is a pre-solicitation.
