Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. This will be an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract with four 365 day option terms. This solicitation will include Best Value Source Selection procedures with the following minimum/maximum quantities for the base year and each option year: Man's Lightweight Jacket: 40,080/66,792 in accordance with MIL-J-87250 dated 4 November 1988 Pattern dated 1 March 1993; Woman's Lightweight Jacket: 6,120/10,200; in accordance with MIL-J-87251 dated 4 November 1988 Pattern dated 1 March 1993; General Officer Jacket: 1/250 Purchase Description YAGC 93-2 dated 29 January 1993 Pattern dated 11 May 1993; and General Officer Jacket Epaulets: 1/300. A requirement for the submission of a technical proposal is included in the solicitation. The technical proposal shall include Product Demonstration Models (PDMs), Past Performance/Experience, and Mentoring Business Agreement. This solicitation is a Total Set Aside for Small Business Concerns. No GFM will be furnhished, all materials in the production of the items will be furnished by the Contractor. FOB Destination pricing applies. Numbered notes 1, 9, and 26 apply.
