- NOTE: All responses to this RFQ shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, P.O. Box 3700, Loveland, CO 80539-3003, Attention: Sharon Gatenby, J1534. Physical Address for hand delivered responses is 5555 East Crossroads Boulevard, Loveland, CO 80538 The Western Area Power Administration (Western), Western Colorado Maintenance Office, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to safely perform transmission line mechanical tree clearing (including some trees in excess of 20 inches in diameter and 70 feet in height) along electrical transmission line right-of-ways in the States of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. The work includes, but is not limited to clearing standing and down trees within the transmission line right-of-way, and whole tree chipping/shredding in areas designated by Western. The chips and debris when finished shall not be large enough in size to become beetle habitat. This is a Commercial Service acquisition per FAR Part 12. The RFQ will be issued, quotes will be evaluated, and award will be made, in accordance with the simplified procedures authorized by Subpart 13.5 of the FAR. The solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 113310, and the applicable size standard is $6.5 Million. More than one Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The resulting contract(s) will be awarded for a base year and four one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued electronically at this site on or about May 3, 2006.
